LITE - Phantasia

This is the second full length from LITE, a mathy instrumental band in Japan. The tight angular rhythms and intoxicating riffs long to be played across a dance floor. The band has a punch similar to early Russian Circles without the explicit technicality and brighter tones. They also bring an appreciation of silence for tension and generally great moments within songs as well as a very good sense of how to put an album together. Its flow loads the front end with more aggressive tracks, and by the time you don't wish to listen to the high bpm anymore, it has slowed down to give you a more relaxing soundscape. It's almost as though it strives to be a dance party for those who normally spend time sitting and absorbing music.

Recommended For: those who are looking for some riffs to rip off, DJs looking for something different to move a crowd, bedroom air guitarists, progressive screamo enthusiasts that aren't looking for vocals
